About the Trainer
Hi my name is Ken. I have always had a passion for animals. I have owned a ton of animals growing up including snakes, lizards, rabbits, fish, frogs, birds, cats and dogs. My favorite was a man's best friend... Dogs!
After high school I joined the military where I was attached to a unit that used military working dogs. This is where my passion for dogs grew. I never knew that dogs were capable of learning so many very detailed behaviors. The dogs weren't forced or intimidated to do the work. They wanted to train and work more than the handlers wanted them to. Needless to say I was hooked and had to learn how this was done.
After coming home from my very first deployment, I bought a husky named (Dash) from a breeder and I rescued a Belgian Malinois named (Atticus) from the Humane Society. I immediately signed them up for training. We took every class offered. We did rally obedience, scent work, therapy dog training, basic obedience, advanced obedience, protection, canine good citizen, trick training, etc. I mean I can go on and on for days. The company I trained with saw my passion and ask if I wanted to work for them. I happily accepted the offer and I never looked back.
So I start training dogs professionally in 2011, shortly after completing active duty service in the United States Army. Since then I have trained dogs across the United States; clientele included pet, police, protection and service dogs. I have learned from the best dog trainers in the country and continue learning to this day. I have attended hundreds of hours in seminars as well as classroom and online instruction gaining many certifications and titles. Nothing beats hands on experience. Over the years, I have trained or worked with in some capacity hundreds of dogs.
In 2017, I decided to return to my home state of Virginia and serve my community by starting Krazy K-9 Dog Training. It has been amazing being back home. My passion has grown even more and changed from JUST dog training to really changing the lives of many dog owners. I look forward to meeting you and your dog and showing you what life can really be like with a well trained dog.
